With the Spring seed sales peak now behind us, here are a few ideas to inspire and inform your consumers how to grow more at home for Late Summer/Early Winter harvest and get a welcome boost your sales in the traditionally low demand period.
Sow Outdoors in September – there are dozens of varieties that can be successfully sown during late summer for winter harvests. Here are a few examples:
Kale, Corn (Lambs) Lettuce, American (Land) Cress, Winter Lettuce, Salad Onions, Oriental greens, Pak Choi, Mooli Radish, Winter Radish, Rocket, Perpetual Spinach, Swiss (Rainbow) Chard, Turnip & Winter Purslane.
